Some Brazilian stuff, finally.

I've been so bad about posting anything to do with actual Brazilian music. Feeling guilty about it, even. So here's some info you need to know: my boys are still throwing it down over at Piano's, Jazz Potatoes style. I like this description from Piano's website:
A new monthly from Brazilian Beat Brooklyn's champ DJs Sean Marquand and Greg Caz spinning vintage African, reggae, latin, soul, and of course, Brazilian. It's music from around the world but no world music, dig? Stylish cuties and drunk dummies alike have been converging upon Brooklyn on Sundays for years now to dance to a bunch of songs they've never heard before, so shit should be even sweeter now at Pianos 'cuz the djs are opening up their set to include high-energy tracks from all over. Heads can go play the wall somewhere else, this is a dance party.

Far as I can tell from Piano's somewhat confusing website, this party is the first Thursday of each month, making the next gig October 7th.
